KNIE'S MAGIC HAT Built in the heart of Knies Kinderzoo in Rapperswil, the shape of the folded-up structure is reminiscent of a magic hat. The winning project deliberately uses wood as a sensual building material. Thanks to the timber construction method with prefabricated elements, the construction time was short and efficient. With its cladding of metal sheds and a height of 25 m, the structure has the desired charisma for the children's zoo and is a landmark on the city skyline. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
