Historical type inspired the design of two custom typefaces. A metal foundry stamp from the Studebaker factory inspired the "F" stamp, accompanying period graphic elements and photography to establish the Foundry Field brand. The website and video help tell the story of the Foundry Giants, an all-black baseball team that played against white teams 25+ years before the integration of baseball. The brand system and materials helped secure initial funding for field construction and a visiting artist program to engage the community around issues of race, representation, and access.
