A new nail salon opened in Tokyo's Ginza district. Various bottles of nail polish are displayed in a space that stretches in a straight line from the entrance. Two types of L-shaped, freestanding wooden lattice partitions are used to transform each treatment corner into a personal space. The latticework is rhythmically combined with vertical and horizontal latticework to provide a sense of space while blocking the line of sight. The furniture and fixtures were all originally designed for this salon with maximum consideration of dimensions and functionality.
