The site located at the riverside of an old community of the urban core. Our design target was to create a cafe not only treats travelers stay-in or drop by, but also a casual neighborhood hub for surrounding community. Holes were cut on selected wall as view ports, so guests’ sight could penetrate through few layers to outdoor courtyard or other parts of space as a “Borrowing view”spacial strategy. The theme blue color came from the famous travel guidebook“Lonely Planet”. In the courtyard, a tree-platform welcome guests to climb up for a higher view through the other side of river.
