A ryokan designed to enhance the appeal of its neighborhood, thereby valuing the history of the site and its significance for the local community. Our goal was to create the look and feel of a renovated mansion-turned-ryokan as if the building had always been there. We wanted to build a space embodying the history of Daita by incorporating fixtures and materials acquired from a century-old mansion in the neighborhood. You will find historic fittings seamlessly blended with modern architectural techniques ,creating a sophisticated atmosphere with texture, contrast and depth.
