With consideration into the site's location and the occupants’ preferences, the design adopts wabi-sabi aesthetics that emphasizes serenity and simplicity, to create a dialogue between space and people. It intends to let the occupants get rid of the pressure from the bustling city life, commute with nature and regain inner purity. With respect for pristineness and simplicity, the mezzanine set at the double-height hollow area maximizes spatial value. Without an apparent partition, it is filled with an artistic, natural and serene vibe, which unleashes a sense of beauty and layering.
