Hotel Resonance Taipei is a narrow 14-story building composed of guest rooms extending east-west, and a double-height restaurant wing running north-south. The building uses precast structural system that greatly reduced the construction time. The main block is set back to provide a spacious forecourt for the public. The form evolved from a simple right-angled building to a lively interplay of projection and recession. The clever mix of elegant hotel rooms and spacious public spaces inventively uses its confined site and serves as a welcoming amenity for locals.
