The project is a Japanese restaurant. We use the Japanese aesthetic concept YUGEN . It means literally subtly profound darkness, suggested beauty only partially perceived – fully felt but barely glimpsed by the viewer. With the spotlight on the countertop, the design highlights the professionalism and sophistication of the cuisine, while various forms of profound darkness are created to offer a sense of privacy and tranquility in the space. When the guests enter the YUGEN realm, they can put aside the mundane thoughts and fully appreciate the pleasure from the food and space.
