The design used elemental, natural, and primary materials, with simple but highly attentive craftsmanship to blend the Mexican-Spanish with the Polish culture. Mexican oak was used for furniture, and imported Austrian oak for floors, with natural fired clay brick tiles in the heart of the apartment to evoke the Polish woman's childhood. The second floor was designed as a cave, gray and cold with walls where workers' craftsmanship becomes the protagonist, giving an illusion of cave paintings that have traveled through time.
