This building was formerly known as the Taipei Theatre which was built in 1955. It was abandoned after it closed its doors in 1991. The renovation was inspired by nearby renown landmarks, Red House and the other old theatres with the touch of the representative interior design from the old Shanghai buildings and the Broadway in the 90’s. It reflects the fierce competition between Chinese and Western cinema at the time. In the building, small stages were kept to pay tribute to the old times. This work kept the legacy of the building and also let the story continue.
