Sited at the base of a Mountain Range in Henderson, Nevada this residence serves as a point of refuge from the outside world. Rooted in the natural environment, the design focuses on highlighting the geological beauty of the surrounding landscape to create an immersive environment centered on family wellness. The plan creates distinct areas for both children and adults with communal living spaces at the heart of the house. Architecturally, the façade is composed of CMU block walls and a protective veil enclosing the home with an exoskeleton-like armor of blackened steel.
