The apartment was designed to convert the interior space of an old building located in São Paulo, into an integrated, full of light and comfortable space, as requested by the owners. The inspiration for the project came from the desire to transform the trivial and avoid monotony by understanding the area as mutable and capable of evoking emotions upon the way one interprets it. There was a search for elements that could delimit the spaces and bring dynamicity to the apartment, and the mashrabiya was a perfect match for this goal because of the way it plays with textures, light and shadows.
