The new library, adjacent to « Casa Misericordia » is designed so that the user has a free vision of spaces, circulations, and potential uses, following two fundamental principles of work at the agency : - Permanence and evolutivity, with space sizing generated by a structure that can accommodate future floors and change its uses. The universal and symbolic character of the facades allows the building to change its uses over the time. - Monumentality and domesticity, with an exterior environment of textured bricks worked in all its forms which contrasts with a much smoother wooden interior
