In 2021, ITCILO, a United Nations training centre, hosted the Digital Inclusion Summit. Participants explored 4 ideas about what digital inclusion means and crowdsourced 42 ways to take action. Sized as a 12-inch vinyl, the book is a “record on paper” of that process. Every page of the publication is a place of inclusion, from contents to form. Numbers, circles, and sans serif elements associated with the digital world include the squares, letters, and serif fonts of the analog world. It’s a book of contrasts, just like the digital revolution: one of the biggest issues facing today’s society.
