The design inspiration of the pedestrian bridge comes from the surging waves--the special-shaped arch structure spans from one side to the other, creating enough landscape volume; the streamlined railing under the arch runs through the whole bridge, outlining the rolling shape of sea waves together with the perforated aluminum plates. Meanwhile, the arch also represents the concept of a door, which provides a sense of ritual of spatial transition to the pedestrians when they travel from the commercial city of residence to the coastal zone of science and education.
