La Hacienda Jardín is a weekend retreat that reclaims the elements of the town of Tepoztlán: the home’s exterior is sober and serene, in silent respect for its environment, preserving its magic and mystery for those who enter within. Constituted by two coordinating elements, the central courtyard and peripheral volume acting as a roofed wall open to the elements, the project displays internal paths that evoke different sensory experiences depending on the chosen direction. The building materials- all produced locally- create a direct dialogue with the site, the climate and the landscape.
