Sited between campus and athletic fields the plant’s rectangular form and copper-colored insulated metal panel system blend with the neighborhood in height, color and alignment. Inset ceramic-frit glass relieves the panel system flatness, giving natural light for workplace safety and wellbeing. Roof-top perforated screening gives dimensional interest and proportional balance. For resiliency the main equipment floor is raised 9 feet above the floodplain. A ramp provides vehicular access to the elevated main floor, glazed bifold doors allow maintenance and installation of future large equipment.
