The Design challenge is how to transform this six floor building, which constructed in 1970s, into a new space of hospitality, within a extremely limited budget and time. At the same time, we want to break through the ordinarily design and management solution of commercial hotel in China that end up the dilemma of separating commercial and social, private and public, new-built and historical factor. Our vision is to create a pleasing place with nice quality at good price for both the community resident, as well as tourists who could experience the authentic local culture and lifestyle.
