“Bright” is a light installation designed for the Zero-One Technology Festival in Shenzhen, China. Responding to the theme of the festival “Second Nature”, the totem seeks to reflect the aspiration that technology will do more than just empowering our lives but it will seamlessly become part of our daily lives. The tower’s profile from above indicates the numerical value of 0. In elevation, the silhouette of the sculpture represents the numerical value of 1. Together, the totem illustrates the digits of 01 in a 3-dimensional way, paying homage to the festival in the humblest of ways.
