Time is of the essence to small scale retailers who handle all aspects of their business. The Ushop PoS system was created for the Hindustan Unilever's retail ecosystem in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India. It enables billing, digital payments and allows shopkeepers to give discounts and receive points for billings done on the PoS device. Additionally, the device has an inbuilt scanner, printer and payment module for ease of billing. We conducted an on-field usability testing and understood the issues, so we revamped the PoS device to drastically improve business owners billing experience.
