First presented in Italy in the 58th Venice Biennale, Music For Everyone: Variations on a Theme is the solo exhibition of artist Song-Ming Ang. This homecoming show features works that engage with structures & contexts of music-making, revealing how music can be a ground for ideological contest while allowing ambiguity to emerge. Using playful color blocks in the branding & spatial design, with vibrant tones used in juxtaposition—at times lively & free whilst dignified in other instances, creating a space that can be enjoyed by all & parallels the spontaneity and improvisation of music.
