XR Obsession is an experimental project selected by the Taiwan Cultural Ministry. It brings an artistic flavor, showcasing TW’s history, art and natural beauty. Volumetric capture of the pianist and dancer are integrated into animated landscape paintings by Houei-Kuen Chen (Jade Mtn, Nenggao Waterfall, Yehliu). In the live performance, the pianist and audience are synched in real-time to a pre-created film and the fused content is projected on a LED wall for all to enjoy an XR experience. I believe productions should push the envelope to bring about exciting and touching new experiences.
