We conceived an architectural intervention to serve as a central conduit and experimental gathering space for different forms of learning and patterns of use. Beeline bisects the pre-existing structure both in plan and section, connecting interior and exterior, and transforming how visitors enter and experience the museum and how the institution interfaces with the city. Challenging the implied hierarchies of space, semi-transparent fabric partitions form a series of elevated walkways that choreograph the flow of visitors. Soft tactile forms and playful lighting evoke curiosity and wonder.
