The design of Xibao is inspired by the moon phases that change over time. In order to accurately simulate the real lunar wax and wane, the designer deftly made the functions of mirror, calendar and ambient light all rolled into one and adopted a special process on the light’s surface, so as to restore the surface texture of the moon in an authentic and natural manner. When time comes to the Mid-Autumn Day, a traditional Chinese festival, the illuminant takes the form of a golden full moon, thus conciliating the wanderer about their homesick.
