Rancho Avándaro House is a weekend retreat designed to make the most of its natural surroundings, striking a balance between the well-tended gardens and the commanding presence of the stone buildings. It is based on the concept of Mexican haciendas: the solidity and purity of the three main volumes combined with locally-sourced materials and patios, as well as gable roofs supported by timber beams. The project creates a welcoming space that combines classic hacienda-style elements with contemporary interior design, achieving a harmonious combination of luxury and functionality.
