In 2020 AaaM collaborated with MadeInSample to create [Xmas “re”Strip] a mega-size fabric hanging installation for a mall in Hong Kong. Fabrics were first collected from unwanted stocks and sample. They were then sewed by retired workers to form a continuous 25m long spiral strip, floating in mid-air of the space. A chandelier made from dead stock wallpaper, was swirling up high, bringing glamour to the underneath public space. This installation became a true sustainable communal icon. After the exhibition, it will be dismantled and remade to phone cases and bags for the community group.
