This is a private garden for high-end housing, a pilot project for the new livable neighborhood in Nanjing, China. It was one of the "Experimental Gardens" series to study how waterbody affects the microclimate. The parameter selected was 10% of the site area, and we recorded changes in temperature and humidity. Other approaches included walls for wind corridors and noise reduction, trees placed according to sun analysis for maximum summer shading. Meditational sounds of running water and installations, artistic light and shadow elements were tested, resulting in uplifting mental experiences.
