Firmness, commodity and delight The Jiangyin Greenway belongs to a growing movement in China towards healthy, sustainable transportation and urban enjoyment. It demonstrates that infrastructure has the potential and the responsibility to create meaningful places in the city. The Greenway is a 6km segment of a bicycle/pedestrian path that weaves through the city’s park network. It provides uninterrupted pedestrian access by bridging over seven roads. BAU expanded the competition brief by utilising the height of the path to attach playgrounds, amphitheaters, elevated plazas, arbors, + pavilions.
