Exposition is a SansSerif typeface designed, in 2019, for Patrick Seguin gallery in Paris. Exposition is inspired by the geometric sans-serif “Les Universelles Grasses” by the foundry Centrales P. Dutreix in Limoges. Since the first sketch-design we bore in mind that the gallery’s word mark – composed in 1 or 3 lines and not supported by a pictogram – required a typography with a singular and remarkable character. We went for low contrasted, black and simple-shaped letters, with fancy yet elegant details, such as the open R or the singular uppercase G, and long ascenders and descenders.
