The poster is an announcement for an Indian dance performance of Odissi—a centuries-old lyrical dance form from India. The image used for the poster captures the performer in tribhanga—a tri-curve stance that characterizes and defines this dance form. It is one of the most graceful, sensual, and quintessential postures used within the Odissi performances. The typographic layout echoes the tri-curve posture used for the composition. The typography on the top and middle of the poster creates a triad with the image capturing and complementing the iconic tri-curve posture—the tribhanga.
