The owner of this house was born and raised here, and loved this shopping arcade, of which the only 70% of shops run a business nowadays. Adjacent buildings were on all sides; thus, it was hard to bring natural lights into the house. Therefore, we designed a new inner balcony, which brings natural lights into all the living space, and maintained the window facing toward the shopping arcade to create openness that carries new wealth of the life into the living style from the shopping arcade to the inner balcony. The brightness from the house built a new collaboration with the shopping arcade.
