The new building at the Sigmund Freud University Vienna offers ideal learning conditions for the students of medicine, dentistry and law. It houses lecture halls, seminar rooms, laboratories, faculty office spaces and a banquet hall. The ground floor is designed to create a welcoming atmosphere and becomes the building's central heart as the entrance area as well as a public courtyard, enlivened by several shops. Wrapped in a golden metal façade, the sculptural building formation corresponds with the existing University campus and fits harmoniously, yet distinctively, into the neighbourhood.
