This tea house is located in Suzhou on Shantang Street, and was built more than 1000 years ago in the Tang Dynasty. The house was previously in poor conditions, so our objective was to restore the original appearance of the house, and give it the functional needs of modern life. The wooden floor is now heated; the newly added air conditioner is hidden in a thick wall; the bamboo curtains are fully-electric. Our design allows modern objects to be hidden, and can all be controlled via an iPhone.
