To commemorate the centenary of the death of Koloman Moser – one of the leading lights of the Art Nouveau movement – the MAK-Museum of Applied Arts is staging a comprehensive exhibition. His works include paintings, graphics, and crafts. He sketched on squared paper, and his ornaments and objects can often be traced back to the shape of a square. His drawings are reproduced in the more than 50 segments of the illustration, put together to create a new composition. The black-and-white presentation places the focus on the ornamental power and diversity of his perfect design vocabulary.
