Some animals only appear if you pay attention. Like birds. BLOCBIRDS is a homage to ordinary birds which will only show their beauty if you truly look at them. In a year-and-a-half time we made 25 graphic reflections of birds living in the Netherlands, made of the most basic shape: rectangles. We tried to find the perfect composition with perfect dosing of colour. The exhibition shows the 25 BLOCBIRDS (grid 5x5). In front of them you will find a display table which also has a square grid (5x5). Every square shows a stuffed bird which matches one of the BLOCBIRDS.
