The timely refurbishment of Queens Square has transformed an aging space in the heart of downtown Cambridge into a civic hub open to all members of the community. The key challenge of the project was to modernize and improve the space while working within the original design concept and remaining respectful to the site's heritage. By emphasizing the historic character of the site, improving accessibility and working sustainably, the design helps unite people and the landscape.
